An Outdoor Winter Experience with Ice Skating, Ice Bumper Cars, and Chalet Lounges Opening December 2025
BOSTON, MA – December 3, 2025 – Navy Yard Hospitality Group is proud to announce the launch of The Rink at The Tall Ship, a prominent expansion transforming East Boston’s iconic waterfront summer venue into a year-round destination. Opening in December 2025, the activation introduces an outdoor ice rink with a skating loop, ice bumper cars, heated gathering spaces, chalet lounges, curated market stalls, and specialty food offerings, establishing one of Boston’s most anticipated winter attractions.
Since opening in 2021, The Tall Ship has become one of Boston’s most celebrated summer venues, drawing over 250,000 guests annually with its 245ft Tall Ship turned floating oyster bar, lively atmosphere, and unmatched skyline views. The launch of The Rink extends this energy into the colder months, bringing new life to the waterfront throughout the winter season.

Curated Market Stalls: A collection of artisan and seasonal merchandise featuring handcrafted gifts, specialty sweets, and Tall Ship-branded swag including sweatsuits, hats, scarves, and more.

Airstream Food Trailers: Serving elevated comfort and ski lodge fare such as hearty soups, grilled cheese sandwiches, warm pretzels, sausages, tacos, and indulgent sweets like Belgian waffles, hot cocoa, caramel popcorn, and freshly baked goods.

Harborside Chalet Lounges: Reserved, heated chalet lounges with a dedicated server and menu, positioned along the rink’s edge to skate-in and skate-out.

Glass Viking Domes & Heated Tent: Après-ski gathering spaces where guests can warm up with beverages while enjoying views of ice skaters, harbor sunsets, and the city skyline.

Community Programming & Activations: A rotating lineup of themed skate nights, holiday-inspired events, family day experiences, and community-focused free and discount skate programming offered throughout the season.

The Rink at The Tall Ship will operate seven days per week, from December 2025 through March 2026.
Hours of operation are:
Monday–Thursday: 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Friday–Sunday: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM

The Tall Ship is a 245-foot vessel turned floating oyster bar moored on Pier One in East Boston.
